Areki sat at her desk and chewed the tip of her pencil thoughtfully. She had been trying for the last hour to finish her article on the differences between Judaism and Christianity for the school newspaper, so she could start on her next story for the bisexual magazine "Crushed" that he sister had begun several years back (way back when Moriin lived with her and mama and papa), and that had, since her sisters move, been passed on as her responsibility. She had the perfect topic in mind, too: "How To Come Out Of The Closet, Without Actually Leaving The Closet." Now, if only she could get this stupid article written. "Areki! Time for dinner!" Her mother called. "Coming, mama!" She yelled back, setting the pencil down with a sigh. There was only so much work one could get done on an empty stomach, after all.

Nathalie fell back on her small bed with a thump. It had been one of those days. You know the kind of day I mean, the ones where no matter what you do, the universe seems to have it in for you. But it was over now, and Nathalie was grateful for that much. After laying down for several minutes she pulled a small bag of M&M's out from under her pillow and popped a couple in her mouth. The fact that they were still there was good enough for her.

Darin clutched his stuffed bear, Lala, to his chest with one hand, and slipped his poetry book out from under his other arm. He thumbed through a few pages before coming to a blank one and he smiled. Resting Lala gently in his lap, he began to write.
Missy sat on her bed, flipping through the latest issue of her favorite magazine, "Crushed," that was secretly distributed by a few of the girls at school on the same day as the school newspaper. She'd never thought of herself as bisexual, but she'd never been particularly opposed to it either. She gave a small smile at the thought of what her parents might say if they ever found her reading "Crushed." Her little brother Jeral knew, and was, of course, sworn to secrecy on penalty of serious buttwhup, but he was different than their parents anyway. And speaking of Jeral. . .

"Sis, it's dinner time." Jeral looked in on her. "You know, you really should close the door if you're going to read that."

Missy blushed. She hated being caught doing something so incredibly stupid as forgetting to close the door. "So. . ." She asked conspirationally. "Who is he?"

Missy sighed in mock exasperation. "The guy you're hung up over." She said. "Its written all over your face."

Jeral's blush deepened. "Oh, ah, um. . ." He fumbled. "I'll tell you after dinner?"

Missy smiled at her brothers eagerness to escape and nodded, following him through the house to the kitchen.

Areki ate dinner in relative silence, much to the surprise of mama and papa, who were used to her endlessly chattering on about something or another that had happened at school that day. Her mind was, however, on the article she had to write, and the article she WANTED to write. Now, if only she were able to combine the two of them, and - She snapped her fingers and pulled away from the table. "Sorry, mama, papa, homework." She said quickly and practically shot up the stairs to write.

Darin closed the booklet again and looked around. The sun was already beginning to set, and if he didn't hurry he'd be late getting back home. He tucked the book back under his arm and took off at a light jog.

Areki wrote one article that night for the newspaper, then modified it to fit the magazine. She looked back from her work and smiled. She was all done for the night.
Jeral fairly shot out of his skin when Missy snuck up behind him while he was washing dishes. As it was, he dropped one of them and it shattered.

Missy jumped backwards to avoid the ceramic shards. "Are you alright?" She asked Jeral quickly.
